The store is situated on main high street, next door to Holland & Barrett.

The main route past Bude is the A39, which runs along the coast from Barnstaple down to Newquay. From the A39, follow the A3073 into Bude to the town centre.

There is limited short stay parking outside of the store, or several pay and display car parks nearby which are signposted.

There is no train station in Bude, but the main bus routes into the town stop close to the high street.

Your NHS Entitlement

Get a free eye test

Some patients qualify for a free NHS eye examination and optical vouchers. Find out if you are eligible for a free vision test.

Criteria	NHS funded sight test	NHS Optical voucher
Aged under 16
Aged 16, 17 or 18 in full time education
Aged 60 or over
Diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma
Considered to be at risk of glaucoma (as advised by an ophthalmologist)
Aged 40 or over and the parent, brother, sister, son or daughter of a person diagnosed with glaucoma
Registered blind or partially sighted
Eligible for an NHS Complex Lens Voucher (your optician will advise on your entitlement)
Claiming Benefit (Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, Income Related Employment Support Allowance, Universal Credit, Income Support, Pension Credit Guarantee Credit or receiving Tax Credits and meeting qualifying conditions)
On a low income and named on a valid HC2 (full help) or HC3 (partial help) certificate

"I am writing to express my satisfaction after visiting your Bude store a few weeks ago. I was on holiday in the resort and I realised that I had not packed my spare lenses. This was an inconvenience not to mention being blind as a bat in the swimming pool!! When I asked the staff at Bude, Anne and Julia if they could help, they were very efficient and rang up my supplier Costco and went out of their way to find some replacement lenses.They were very friendly and really helped me out. I wanted you to know how helpful and kind they were and hence I could enjoy my holiday to the full!!"
