MiSight® 1 day
& children’s myopia

Myopia, or short-sightedness, is a common eye condition that affects how well you can see things in the distance. This condition is on the rise and it’s thought that it will affect 50% of the population by 2050². Usually, myopia is mild to begin with, but it can worsen rapidly, especially in young children³.

If your child has myopia, you’ll already be aware that glasses can provide simple and immediate vision correction. However, there is another option, which aims to slow the worsening of myopia over time†⁴, MiSight® 1 day contact lenses.

How do MiSight® 1 day
contact lenses work?

If your child is short-sighted, the first number of their prescription will be a negative number. Over time, if their myopia worsens, the number will become a bigger negative number. MiSight® 1 day contact lenses can't reverse your child's myopia, but they can help to slow further worsening of your child's myopia. †⁴ Here’s how it works…

**  As reported by parents

†† Children with myopia fit with MiSight® 1 day contact lenses ages 8-15 continued to experience slowed myopia progression as long as they remained in treatment.

§§ 12 months post-treatment, evidence indicates that no  accumulated myopia control benefits were lost following 3 or 6-years of MiSight® 1 day wear (on average, for children aged 8-15 at start of wear). Instead, eye growth reverted to expected, age-normal rates.
