Peena Govind

Clinical Services Manager

Peena Govind graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Optometry from Aston University, UK, in 1998, qualifying as an optometrist in 1999. She has extensive experience in retail optometry gained over 20 years of working in various professional roles covering both clinical and commercial aspects. These include roles as an Optometrist, Lasik Optometrist, Regional Optometrist Lead, Optometrist Store Manager and Regional Manager. In 2019, she became Professional Operations Business Partner, followed by an appointment as Optometry Store Business Operations Partner.

Peena manages the Clinical Complaints team, responsible for medical negligence, clinical policies and governance, and NHS contracts relating to company in-store clinical services, to ensure a safe and smooth customer journey.

Peena is also a Non-Executive Director of FODO, the leading national association for eye care providers in the U.K., that works to support, champion and shape the future of eye care.
