A big welcome from all the team here at the Slough store. We are here to look after your every need when visiting Vision Express, whether it's for an Eye Test, Contact Lens fit, choosing a new pair of glasses or just popping in for a simple repair.

Your NHS Entitlement

Get a free eye test

Some patients qualify for a free NHS eye examination and optical vouchers. Find out if you are eligible for a free vision test.

Criteria	NHS funded sight test	NHS Optical voucher
Aged under 16
Aged 16, 17 or 18 in full time education
Aged 60 or over
Diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma
Considered to be at risk of glaucoma (as advised by an ophthalmologist)
Aged 40 or over and the parent, brother, sister, son or daughter of a person diagnosed with glaucoma
Registered blind or partially sighted
Eligible for an NHS Complex Lens Voucher (your optician will advise on your entitlement)
Claiming Benefit (Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, Income Related Employment Support Allowance, Universal Credit, Income Support, Pension Credit Guarantee Credit or receiving Tax Credits and meeting qualifying conditions)
On a low income and named on a valid HC2 (full help) or HC3 (partial help) certificate
A prisoner being seen outside prison

Your complaint will be acknowledged within 2 working days and you will receive an estimate of how long the investigation of your complaint is likely to take.

If your complaint relates to your sight test and you are not happy with how your complaint has been handled either by us or by NHS England, you will be advised of your right to take your complaint to the Health Service Commissioner (Ombudsman). If your complaint relates to your spectacles or contact lenses you can contact the Optical Consumer Complaints Service, 6 Market Square, Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, CM23 3UZ.

"What great service! Almost everything in my life is hard right now, and everything about doing business with you has been easy. I live in Aldershot but was in Slough high street on Wednesday and broke my glasses while working on a site. I went to Specsavers to get them repaired but they refused. I then came to Vision Express Slough, expecting it to be a big hassle to get my glasses repaired, but it ended up being a pleasure. Every part of my experience with your store was good.
