A big welcome from all the team here at the Luton store. We are here to look after your every need when visiting Vision Express, whether it's for an Eye Test, Contact Lens fit, choosing a new pair of glasses or just popping in for a simple repair.

Your NHS Entitlement

Get a free eye test

Some patients qualify for a free NHS eye examination and optical vouchers. Find out if you are eligible for a free vision test.

Criteria	NHS funded sight test	NHS Optical voucher
Aged under 16
Aged 16, 17 or 18 in full time education
Aged 60 or over
Diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma
Considered to be at risk of glaucoma (as advised by an ophthalmologist)
Aged 40 or over and the parent, brother, sister, son or daughter of a person diagnosed with glaucoma
Registered blind or partially sighted
Eligible for an NHS Complex Lens Voucher (your optician will advise on your entitlement)
Claiming Benefit (Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, Income Related Employment Support Allowance, Universal Credit, Income Support, Pension Credit Guarantee Credit or receiving Tax Credits and meeting qualifying conditions)
On a low income and named on a valid HC2 (full help) or HC3 (partial help) certificate
A prisoner being seen outside prison

Your complaint will be acknowledged within 2 working days and you will receive an estimate of how long the investigation of your complaint is likely to take.

If your complaint relates to your sight test and you are not happy with how your complaint has been handled either by us or by NHS England, you will be advised of your right to take your complaint to the Health Service Commissioner (Ombudsman). If your complaint relates to your spectacles or contact lenses you can contact the Optical Consumer Complaints Service, 6 Market Square, Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, CM23 3UZ.

I've had four pairs of Rayban sunglasses re-done with my prescription and tint at the store and Niraj went out of his way on my latest visit to make sure I was totally satisfied with my previous glasses. He even re-tinted a couple of pairs in record time, to the exact tint I required.

"I went to Luton Branch yesterday to get some glasses for my daughter.

I wanted to say what fantastic service I received. The staff were very attentive. I was looked after immediately. We had lot of good advise. The assistant was very helpful in assisting my daughter select a frame which seemed such a daunting task when there are so many to choose from.

The lens fitting service was great , and our time well respected.

"I brought my sunglasses to be repaired which had been run over I didnt think there was much hope. The lab tech was so confident he could fix them, it just made my day as I have had these nearly 6 years. He fixed the glasses and made them near new aside the scratches. After I offered him a tip which he refused saying we have a charity box. Very good service thank you"

"Vision Express,

I have an 11 month old who has just been prescribed glasses. After visiting what seems to be every opticians in Bedfordshire, I eventually came across a website that makes glasses especially for babies (Miraflex) - and Vision Express in Luton turned out to be one of the only suppliers of these glasses in the area.
I cannot praise them enough. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgeable, helpful & nothing was too much trouble. I now have a little girl who can see properly thanks to these great glasses :)
