The Tom Ford eyewear collection is a range of luxury glasses and sunglasses from one of the world’s most exciting and influential fashion designers.
Launching in 2004, Tom Ford glasses took the fashion industry by storm. And they still display the vintage and contemporary influences that have been Tom Ford’s trademark since his time as the creative director at Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent.
Made in Italy with a painstaking attention to detail, Tom Ford sunglasses and prescription glasses are available in a number of styles, from the classic cat-eye and a modern take on the iconic aviator to the butterfly frame unique to Tom Ford.
Picture Perfect: Tom Ford at the Movies
Tom Ford is not just a multi-award winning fashion designer. He has also picked up a number of prestigious gongs for his work as a film director and producer. Ford’s films as director include 2009’s Oscar-nominated A Single Man, starring Colin Firth and Julianne Moore, and, in 2016, Nocturnal Animals with Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams.
As well as making an appearance in his own movies (Colin Firth in the chunkily retro TF5178 in A Single Man, for instance) Tom Ford sunglasses have had supporting roles in a number of other films, including the James Bond franchise.
Tom Ford has not only supplied many outfits for the most recent Bond films - including 85 identical copies of Daniel Craig’s suit for the opening sequence of Skyfall - but has also equipped 007 with his sunglasses: the models Snowden and Henry in Spectre, Marko in Skyfall and the FT108 in Quantum of Solace.
Tom Ford, new for Summer 2020
This season’s new additions to the Tom Ford eyewear collection feature oversize silhouettes and well-defined shapes, evocative of the brand and inspired by the styles of the 1950s and 70s. As always, the new glasses and sunglasses are instantly recognisable by the signature Tom Ford metal T-bar on the frame fronts and sides.
Tom Ford sunglasses and glasses are available at the following Vision Express stores.
