"My husband and I went to the Southampton Vision Express (West Quay) yesterday, 8th September where we were looked after by sales assistant Philip Harrison.
I never normally give feedback but after the fantastic service Philip gave us I feel the least I can do is let you know what an exceptional member of staff you have.
Both my husband, Ian, and I needed new glasses and Philip spent as long as we needed, he suggested frames that may suit us and gave us very clear information regarding the lens choices and current discounts. We ended up spending Â£1,600 without any 'hard sale'.
Please make sure his Manager/Area Manager read this. I will recommend everyone I know to go to Vision Express.

My name is Will Sharkey and I have been blind for the previous four years as a consequence of having a rare genetic condition. On Monday the 1st of July I was fortunate enough to regain some of the vision in my left eye. Being somewhat surprised by this I went to the hospital who (in a state of great astonishment) advised that I might be able to read again if I were to obtain suitable glasses. This was huge news for me; hitherto going blind I was an avid reader (as it happens, I went blind just as I began my Ph.D) so I'm sure you can appreciate how excited I was. Such excitement prompted me to book an appointment at your opticians in West Quay Shopping Centre in Southampton. The service I received was absolutely amazing, the staff seemed to genuinely share my excitement and every effort was made to ensure I received a pair of glasses that enhanced my vision. Your optician, a gentleman whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, was extremely careful and precise, I owe him a huge debt of gratitude. By virtue of this gentleman's care and attention I was able to buy a pair of glasses and I am happy to inform you that I, as of today, have just finished re-reading my favourite novel, Viz. Dostoevsky's, Crime and Punishment. This really does mean a huge amount to me and I really cannot express how grateful I am to both your business generally, and especially to all the staff at Vision Express, Southampton.

"Recently I visited your West Quay store for an eye test and a change of prescription was recommended. On that day, I couldn't find a new pair of frames which I liked and left the store feeling a little disappointed.
Today I returned and the experience couldn't have been more different. I was approached by Anita Sharma and, from the outset, she was helpful, endlessly patient and gave great advice on choosing a frame which suited my prescription and looked good. She looked through all the frames with me, including searching through newly arrived stock until I ended up with 3 to choose between, all of which I liked. At one point, a colleague suggested that she went for lunch whilst he took over but she declined to do so. All in all, she provided really excellent service.

"Just to say that I experienced great customer service on my visit to your Southampton West Quay branch the other week - eye test + purchase of frames.
The whole experience was very pleasant and was almost happy to part with money! The optician was very friendly and put me at ease and the AGM who helped me select glasses ( a difficult experience due to my enormous head and nose!) was great (very friendly, helpful and professional). The Receptionist had the warmest welcome ever!
