Once again this branch of Vision Express has totally exceeded my expectations with regard to service and customer care. This store had been recommended to me for an eye test so I duly followed the advice and had one in November and I was impressed, much better than eye tests Id'e had previously in local Opticians. Unfortunately as I was working away I had to then buy my glasses elsewhere using the Vision Express prescription. It turns out there had been a misunderstanding and I had a problem with my new glasses and had to go back to Vision Express. I asked to speak with a Manager and was told there would be a wait but she would be with me asap. The staff were very attentive and kept checking I was ok and offered coffee etc. Eventually Jacqueline Swindells introduced herself to me and we chatted at length re the problems I was having. She was wonderful, she actually listened and then went over options to try and solve the problems I was having with the 2 new pairs of glasses. Her care and attention was the best customer service I have received in a long time and as I once trained 'Customer Service' for a major global company, I know the difference between good and bad service. She introduced me to the Optometrist Vicky Patton who took time out, was very patient with me and helped sort out my prescription. Thank you ladies and especially Jackie for your attention, I will certainly be recommending your branch to my colleagues and friends.
I visited the store before Christmas 2013 for an eye test and to purchase some new glasses. The service was second to none and the lady who tested my eyes saw something at the back of my eye that she wasn't sure about. She referred me to Preston hospital and I am pleased to say there was nothing untoward going on but had there been she may have saved me my sight through her observational skills and professionalism.
From walking in the store to walking out 2 hours later with the new glasses was all extremely quick, efficient and professional.
I can highly recommend this store and all the staff.

I visited Vision Express at the Trafford Centre for a routine eye test on Friday 18th July 2014 and once again I was really impressed with the whole team from the moment I walked in. I was treated courteously and professionally by all. My optician Hilary immediately put me at ease, she was so professional and knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. Special thanks goes to Jackie, who put up with me for about an hour whilst helping me choose an appropriate frame. She was so very patient, not pushy at all and knew just what I was looking for. I wanted to give you feedback in relation to you Trafford Centre store which I visited on Saturday 21 June 2014.
In particular, having completed purchases for both Oakley opthalmic glasses and prescription sunglasses - The quality of the customer service I received.
Originally I had no intention during my visit to the Trafford Centre of purchasing glasses - However, it has been my intention for some months now.
I went to 2 opticians because I prefer the Oakley range, but the swaying factor was actually the professional and friendly service I received from your associate, Haroon Altaf.
I was very pleasantly surprised by his efforts, knowledge and approach. Unfortunately; good customer service sticks out like a thumb these days, and I was very impressed.
Whilst I did not purchase immediately, it was his approach that persuaded me to return and resolve what has been an issue for me for some time, without putting it off any longer.
I must also commend the professional attitude and approach of your optometrist, Robert Jackson - Who also added to the overall level of my customer satisfaction.
An exceptional job and approach completed by both, relatively late on during a Saturday's business.
This is well overdue but I wanted to pass on all my thanks for the service from Jackie Swindells at the Trafford centre. I purchased two pairs of glasses from a 'short list' of about 20.
Jackie was so patient and helpful, we really picked out two belters! I was struggling as I had just had a new baby and as any new mum knows, you look a mess, feel a mess and are struggling to come to terms with your new identity. So choosing something such as glasses is a difficult thing to do at this stage. Jackie understood this and was very supportive, kind and humorous as well as totally knowledgable!

I have been a Vision Express Customer for many years now and recently visited your Trafford Centre store and was attended to by Sarah Hodgson, your Store Manager.
Having worked as a Director of an International Corporation for many years I have learned, instilled and deployed every aspect of a Customer First approach throughout all my career.
As such I wish to sincerely and heartily state that the personal, caring and professional approach given to me by Sarah was, without question, simply the best experience I have ever received in the terms of my being an extremely satisfied customer. If all your staff are as pleasant and professional as Sarah then there is no doubt in my mind that Vision Express and their employees are the number one Optical Organisation in the UK.

I would like to comment on the fantastic service received by the staff at Vision Express, from Victoria Patton who carried out my eye examination and Hilary Hodgson who carried out my husband Stephen Marsden's eye examination. Also in particular to Esther Smith who processed our details and took payment she was so pleasant and made us feel as though nothing was too much. We also had a lady who intially set up the eye examinations I don't know her name but she booked us in which was great as we didn't expect to get an appointment on the night. I really hope you can pass on my comments to the staff if only all shops dealt with customers as your staff have the customer care was a credit to your company. Thank you.
My eye test was done without fuss and done well,
the order was taken with all options explained to me without excessive sales pushing,
i was given a 2 week delivery we had an inital problem but the Store Manager Sarah took charge and the service we received was fantastic,
overall my shopping experiance was first class, i would highly reccomend Vision Express!
I visited the Trafford Centre branch of Vision Express recently for the first time. I have been with the company for many years, initially in Stockport where I used to live, then in Preston which is my nearest branch. Unfortunately Preston did not have the full range of Tiffany glasses for me to try on. I therefore visited the Trafford Centre. I was not disappointed. Sarah Hodgson the manageress was so very helpful. She not only identified the style and shape that would best suit me; she was very patient, helpful and informative. I subsequently purchased another two pairs of Tiffany frames with varifocal lenses, plus a pair of sunglasses.
I revisited the store as my first pair, selected at a different branch were still giving me problems (the first time this has ever happened). Sarah was extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Her customer skills are beyond reproach as is her knowledge, patience and helpfulness. It is a little out of my way to visit the Trafford Centre but seeing Sarah makes that effort well worthwhile.
I would like to add the other staff that I have spoken to on the telephone, and seen in store are also very polite and helpful. This store has a wonderful selection of spectacles and very experienced customer orientated staff. Thank you Sarah for all your help.

I went to the branch after suddenly suffering Floater's in my left eye and to have my eyes checked as I was also over due a check up after realising it was over 2yrs since my last check up. The Optometrist advised me of her concern of the problem behind my left eye that required urgent investigation, she not only tried to reasure me because of nature of the potential risk to my sight but notified my GP and then made an urgent appointment for me after speaking to the Eye Centre at Stepping Hill Hospital.
After seeing Consultants I was told I had a torn retina which required urgent laser stiching this was carried out the following day. After several check ups I am pleased to say the outcome was completely successful. I cannot thank Lia ping Chu enough and staff at this Branch.
I've just got my first pair of contact lens from the Trafford Centre Branch. After about 5 weeks I hit a problem and was able to pop in and ask for help. On each occasion I've been served by Lyn. She has been wonderful, given clear advice and very patient. Just wanted to say "thank you".
I have been to Vision Express today for my annual eye test. I was treated by Tariq Muneer and wish to express my admiration of the service I received.
I am a dentist myself with three NHs practices and am aware of patient's expectations and the importance of the patient journey through the appointment. I was treated throughout in a courteous and thoroughly professional manner by all your staff members. As for my examination, Tariq fully explained the evidence for all the tests I was put through and also gave me an concise explanation of what he was looking for. As someone who spends his working life ensuring patients give informed consent for their treatment I was able to agree a prescription for my glasses with Tariq which took into account both my day to day life and my working conditions.
All round a highly impressive service and Tariq is a highly personable man who is a credit to this branch.
I have been using the Trafford Centre (Manchester) branch now since 2008 where I first visited for an eye examination. During this first visit the optician who examined my eyes was Tariq Muneer.
It was a long appointment as it transpired I did have a problem with the vision in my right eye (I then went on to see a retina specialist who confirmed macular hole in my right eye) Two years later it also developed in my left eye.
The purpose of this review is to make you aware that during the last five years I have gone through quite a lot of eye operations relating to this (also surgery for removal of cataracts).
Mr Muneer is an asset to your Company. From the very first time he examined my eyes up until now I always try to book my eye appointments with him as I have so much faith in him. He is kind, reassuring and always thorough in his examinations.
During the time after my surgery I kept in contact with him and his was so reassuring and really gave me courage to think positively when I was feeling quite low and unsure of the outcome of my surgery.
He is a very jovial person and always so pleasant and never makes you feel that he has no time and needs to rush on to his next appointment.
So I can only speak highly of my dealings with Vision Express and certainly Mr Muneer. I am only sorry I have left it so long to write this review but I really feel you should know how appreciative I was at the time and still am for all his kindness and aftercare shown to me.
I would just like to say what an enjoyable experience your staff made for me on my visit to your store today. Nicola was so helpful and charming organising for my glasses to be made. Tariq was so polite and gave me a brilliant eye test. You should be proud of these excellent staff.
It's been a long time since I've visited an opticians where I felt relaxed and confident in the advice I was given. I write this feedback because at every stage your team were exceptional. I came in and spoke with a young guy on the Saturday, as I had broken my glasses, who was very keen to try and find a solution. I ended up booking an appointment for the next day where I was promptly seen by Tarek the optician who took the time to explain everything to me that I didn't understand. His friendly approach and professionalism was great to see.
After my appointment three young guys from your team were very helpful in helping me find my new glasses. I saw three people because I took so long to make a decision all three saw other customers and dropped in with me to make sure I was ok. None of which was intrusive but simply great customer service.
When it came to pay, it appears as though the store suffered from some technical difficulties with the card machine. Even though the pressure was building up on the manager as the queue quickly gained in size, no one seemed to feel bothered or get angry as his control of the situation kept the atmosphere calm and relaxed.
A top store with excellent staff. Taking what can be a simple transaction into a shopping experience.
I wasn't sure about Vision Express before this visit, but I don't think I shall be changing opticians or stores anytime soon.
Thanks for the great service and my new glasses, when they arrive in 7 to 10 days that is, don't worry, I don't mind waiting.
May I thank all the staff I dealt with when just walking in to the store and getting my glasses and sunglasses 2 days later. I even had an eye test there and then and the optician was excellent and gave me a prescription perfect for what I required.
I would like to express my gratitude for the excellent service I have received at the Trafford Centre store and in particular, from Mr Kamran Younis.
Three months ago, I went for an eye test.
Mr Younis discovered I had a detached retina, immediately contacted the Manchester Eye hospital and arranged for me to go there straight away. He was reassuring and explained what might happen which helped enormously at a very worrying time.Two days later I had surgery and now after three months, my eye has finally healed.
A few days ago, I visited the store to purchase new glasses and this was an opportunity to thank Mr Younis for his care and attention.
On Thursday 6th June 2013 I visited the Manchester Trafford Centre store.
The store itself is modern and clean.
On arrival I was immediately greeted at the front desk by a female advisor named Ms Jackie Swindells.
Jackie was polite, professional friendly and helpful towards me.
Jackie efficently dealt with my request and showed me excellant customer service throughout.
I would consider Jackie a valuable member of the Vision Express team and would be very happy to have her serve me again in the future.
I visited your store for the first time after being due an eye test and a new set of glasses. The service I received was excellent, very professional and efficient. Being assisted by a gentlemen called Daud in the process of picking my glasses was a massive help, he selected 3/4 pairs, quickly picking up on the style I was looking for and within 20 minutes I had made my decision. I was also able to pick the glasses up on the same day which was great! The whole process was done within the day and I couldn't of asked for a better service!
I have been attending VE at the Trafford Centre for many years now and find that the sole reason I come back is due to the exceptional professional service that is delivered by their senior optometrist Mr Tariq Muneer. In fact over the years all my family have come over to him as his clinical accumen is always correct, his opinions well formed and his approach both sensible and practical. He has his own simple testing technique which is diagnostically accurate and patient friendly! His experience shines through - the kids can't wait to go and see him again!
At this last visit I had an issue with my vision for which he recommended an Ophthalmic review at the hospital. After I had this he efficiently organised visual fields assessment in store and a follow up assessment with himself. He also helped me with my new glasses and his bespoke service is not just limited to testing - he offers the full holistic approach of testing and follow up with recommendations for the best eye care.
I know my family and I all value his opinion and have to say that he is a credit to the team at the VE at TC and the reason I will be going back for years to come. Well done VE please keep up the good work!
I would like to commend Tariq Muneer at your Trafford Centre Store. I have tried varifocals in the past but without success. At my last eye test a few weeks ago, Tariq talked me through giving them a second chance. I cannot believe what a difference they have made to my working day; not having to constantly change my glasses from distance to reading. I was really quite sceptical but Tariq was confident that I would adapt and it actually only took a day or two. I wouldn't be without them now.
His professional, courteous manner is a credit to your store.
Also, having struggled for years either not being able to see properly, or wearing contact lenses (which I didn't realise you weren't suppose to do), whilst swimming, I have now bought my first prescription lens goggles. Thank you Tariq.
My only problem at the moment is that the frame has been adjusted a few times and still doesn't fit properly.
I would like to thank Lynne Quinn and Pamela Mclul for there help, advice and most of all patience with my contact lens teach session's.
Pamela took the time to help me get to grips with contact lens. She has the patience of a saint, nothing was to much trouble and there was no pressure to how long it took to get the hang of this now simple process.

It was my first ever time I had an eye test and I was quite frightened. But I found out that I didn't have to be because nothing hurt and everyone was really helpful. My optician was really kind and told me the most minute details about why I need glasses. She perfectly understood me and helped an awful lot.
Even though I am having to wait for my glasses, it will be worth it. I am only having to wait because my eye strength is popular so that doesn't mean that yours won't be in because many people get it in the hour they ordered them as long as you have something else to do in the Trafford Centre else where.
Everyone was really kind and I can't complain about anything and I would totally recommend going there.

I'm extremely short sighted and have a number of problems with my eyes, including very poor vision in my left eye. Previous bad experiences with opticians have always left me with a sense of dread when visiting the optician, so it was lovely to be seen by a kind, friendly optician (Lai Ping) who put me at ease and did a very throughough examination of my eyes, including taking a comprehensive history of my problems, lifestyle etc.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to mention the excellent custoemr service provided by the lovely Haroon.
He was helpful, friendly and honest and really went out of his way to look after me and find a suitable pair of frames for my prescription sunglasses. He seemed to genuinely care about which frames would be best for me, and didn't just want to sell me the most expensive pair.
A really fantastic experience, I'll definately recommend you to my friends and family and I'll certainly use you again in the future.

I would like to thank you so much for the attention I received during the course of having my eyes tested, and purchasing new spectacles.
Unfortunately, after leaving the shop very satisfied with my new spectacles, my husband and I went to John Lewis a few shops away, and tripped and fell, albeit very badly, and needed stitches in my eye, and was severely bruised all over my body. My new spectacles were broken as they gashed my eyes on the fall.
Raheel rang not long after leaving hospital to see how I was, and kindly offered to replace my glasses free of charge, which he didnt need to do, as the fall was not his fault!
I would like to thank Raheel very much, and wouldnt hesitate to come back to his shop again.

I have been a customer for around 12 years. I am on the Carefree system for contact lenses but VE also supply my glasses. Around 2 years ago I had my first change in prescription for glasses. I was invited to look at various types of lenses. The lad who saw me was friendly, but kept steering me to the top end range and concentrated his efforts there, the result being glasses varying at a cost of around Â£350 - Â£500. I did not make a choice and left tthe store 'to think about it'. I ended up keeping my own old glasses!
My point is; today I went back to the Trafford Centre store for an eye test. I was once again invited to look at lenses/frames etc. I was introduced to 'Margaret' and she took me through the same sort of steps as before. This time, however, Margaret listened to my concerns and preferences. She took her time, we discussed all the options (and I stress the word 'discussed') and settled on a particular type of lens. We then did the same with the frames, the result being; a pair of glasses I like, that suit me, that reflect my preferences and am looking forward to picking up, at an affordable Â£200 all in (with my discount).
The whole experience was a pleasure; Margaret was extremely helpful, knowledgable, friendly and showed a high level of empathy.
Although I have always found your staff friendly and helpful, Lynn the Contact lens specialist and the gentleman (sorry I have forgotten his name) who tested my eyes today; Margaret went that extra mile and is indeed an asset to your company. After only one meeting I cannot speak highly enough of her. Although I told her at the time (and her daughter who is the store manager) I would like you to recognise her in some way in appreciation of this. Margaret is a true Ambassador for Vision Express.
I was in your trafford centre store last week and I just wanted to say the manager you have in that store is an absolute credit to you. She looked after me and my partner the whole way through. She sorted out a new pair of glasses for me and arranged a new part for my old ones. Shes friendly helpful, knowledgeable and a real credit not just to the store but to the company. I was so impressed, and will recomend this store to all my friends.
I just wanted to drop you a quick line to make you aware of the absolutely fantastic service that I received from your team at the Trafford Centre store in Manchester.
I had a disaster with my glasses earlier this week, and despite the fact that the store was about to close, not only did the optometrist stay behind to ensure I had a full eye test and received the correct care, a number of the team from the floor and the laboratory also stayed for a good 40 mins after the closing time to ensure I found a pair of glasses that I was happy with. I never felt rushed, or that I was putting them out (although quite clearly I was) and the service was just absolutely phenomenal.
I can't thank the team enough (Raheel, Aaroon, Usman, Chris, Laura and Lai Ping) and I would just like to extend a huge thank you as I am absolutely stuck without my glasses and they went above and beyond great customer service.

I just would like to give some very positive feedback regarding all your staff at the Trafford centre store Manchester. I visited the store on 19/01/2012 and the service was exceptional and the advice very useful in choosing the frames and lens. We had dealings with four members of staff and all showed excellent profesional knowledge.
