I got my last pair of contact lenses and 2 pairs of glasses from Vision Express in Kensington High Street. Soon after, I relocated to the Commonwealth of Dominica in the Caribbean and last week lost one of my contact lenses. Unforunately, none of the opticians on the island carry gas permeable lenses and I was stuck for a replacement lens in an emergency.
In desperation, I contacted the Kensington High Street store by phone from the Caribbean and spoke to the manager, Ms Rupa Chotai. I was immediately struck by her professional and helpful approach. I told her my mother is in London and will be returning to Dominica on the 29th of this month. She assured me she would do all she could to assist me in obtaining a replacement lens as a matter of urgency, so that my mother could collect it on my behalf, and agreed to keep me informed by email.
Ms Chotai was prompt, efficient in dealing with me and true to her word and the lens arrived within the timescales she quoted and my mother has it with her and is travelling back tomorrow, and all things being equal, I shall have my lens tomorrow, a little over a week after first speaking to Ms Chotai.
I appreciate her honest professionalism throughout; she understood my predicament, and did not promise to do anything outside of her control, but did everything she said she would do, to assist in bringing a successful conclusion - and it worked. She is a real asset to Vision Express and I am happy to give her a glowing commendation.
