Steve Backley opens Vision Express store at Westfield Stratford

Former javelin world record holder and member of the Athletics Hall of Fame, Steve Backley opened the new Vision Express store at the opening of Westfield Stratford City on Tuesday 13 September.

 

Backley, who set an Olympic record at the Sydney games and won three Commonwealth gold medals, cut the ribbon to the new store which will be in the hub of Olympic City throughout the 2012 London games.

 

The store boasts over 1000 frames; from the latest designer names including Bvlgari, Tom Ford, Armani, Radley and Ralph, to Vision Express' complete collection with frames including lenses for just £29. There is something to suit all tastes and more importantly all budgets. The store is also equipped with the latest eye test technology.

 

Backley said: "I am delighted to be able to officially open the new Vision Express store in Stratford. It goes without saying just how important vision is to athletes - be it Olympians or just everyday sports enthusiasts."

 

Store Manager, Ovie Eduvie said: "We are thrilled that Steve has taken time out of his busy schedule to come and officially open our new store. We hope to that he will visit us again for all his future eye care needs."
