Vision Express has become the first major optician to offer their customers interest free credit on eyewear through their larger stores. Customers can now pay just 10% of the total cost at the point of purchase and walk away with their new glasses on the same day, paying the rest of the cost in monthly sums over 6 or 12 months.
CEO Tim Moyles said the move was a reaction to customer demand: "Even during a recession people don't want to lose out on quality, it seems what our customers want is some flexibility when it comes to payment. Interest free credit means our customers can get the best quality lenses and high end designer frames and pay for them in manageable monthly payments. These payments can be from as little as £18.75 per month."
Interest free credit will be available, subject to status, for customers choosing to pay over £250 on their eyewear. "Obviously it won't suit everyone" said Tim "but it will suit customers who want the best lenses such as our Zeiss Individual, and people who want the latest fashion trends from brands such as Chanel, Dior and Paul Smith. Our interest free credit makes these options more affordable for everyone."
Interest free credit is available in our larger Vision Express stores based in major city centres. The loan taken on by customers is provided by Ikano Financial Services for the value of the goods purchased at Vision Express.
